October 21 SCAPN Meeting (Details in Newsletter)
November 7 First Annual Clinical Review for Office and Outpatient Clinical Staff Presented by: Sarasota Council for Advanced Practice Nursing (SCAPN) (Details in Newsletter)
Hi Everyone,
As you all know we are putting on an educational program geared towards the office based RN, LPN and medical assistant. We NEED your help in getting the word out. Please post a flyer in your office and encourage the staff that works with you to please attend.
Also, would you consider leaving a flyer at any other medical office you might pass while driving during your daily routine.
We want this to be the best "FIRST ANNUAL" program that we do. We can't do it without you!! Also, please come the day of the program if you can. I know we are asking a lot but we are so excited to make our local chapter of NP's, CRNA's, et al a progressive and professional organization where we can work together for our future. Thanks so much in advance!!
Attached is a flyer that you can download.

Think Lobby Days next Spring!!!!!
From Jeff Hazard:
In order for us to have the largest impact possible at Tallahassee, we need to "beat the bushes" for all the APRNs we can find. We have 7 months to grow the number of APRNs going to Tally. My recommendation is that you challenge each of your members to "conscript" 2 other APRNs to come to Tally. If we get 50 of your 78 members to go, and they recruit 2 others, that would be 150 APRNs. We REALLY REALLY need to have more than PCAPNA's 78 members at the Tally rally.
If we're going to have an impressionable presence at the capital we'll need this kind of participation. Taking the fraction of the whole state population living in Polk and considering our goal of 2000 APRNs at the rally, it would require 150 APRNs from Polk to attend in order for Polk County to have proportional representation.
Thank you earnestly for all the efforts you are making. Together, we will be victorious!
Jeff Hazzard
