I am a physician-scientist focused onimproving therapeutic approaches for sickle cell diseaseand beta-thalassemia via study of key signaling pathways that regulate expression of the fetalform of hemoglobin. Clincally, I see patients with sickle cell disease, thalassemia, and other red cell disorders.
